The HARMONY COST Action 18208 is organizing a 2-day training school in Athens, Greece, 2-3 May 2023.
This 2-day event is a training school, part of the HARMONY COST Action 18208. Training activities with lectures, hands-on practical sessions and discussion will focus on understanding the risks of bias in epidemiological studies of prevalence.
This training school is appropriate for participants with a basic knowledge of epidemiological study designs. English will be the working language of this training. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops. Introductory material will be provided in advance of the training school.
Primary learning objectives of the school are that participants (i) understand the differences between reporting, methodological quality, and risk of bias in prevalence studies (ii) recognize the biases that may be present in prevalence studies (iii) learn about the principles of meta-analysis of prevalence and (iv) understand the relevance of prevalence in diagnostic accuracy studies
